Throughout their illustrious carreer, The Rolling Stones have freely acknowledged the debt the band's music owes to the world of blues and R&B. In tribute to the music the Stones fashioned from these roots influences, many of the leading figures on the blues and R&B scene now return that respect by recording some of the Stones finest songs for this killer compilation.

Among those participating are the new acoustic blues supremo Alvin Youngblood Hart; '60s blues legend Taj Mahal (also recently seen in the finally released Rolling Stones Rock 'n Roll Circus video); soul blues genius Otis Clay, soul legend Bobby Womack (whose "It's All Over Now" subsequently became the Stones' first major international hit); high energy blues singer/guitarists LUTHER ALLISON (You Can't Always get, What YouWant is the bittersweet contribution from Luther Allison. His last recorded performance is a sample of what was to be from this performer loved by many and soon to be recognized by all. We hope you dig this version as much as we do. Go on crank it up, just like Luther would have wanted.) Johnny Copeland, Clarence Gatemouth Brown and Joe Louis Walker (the first two of whom are sadly no longer with us); one-time Buddy Guy sparring partner and leading harmonica stylist Junior Wells, plus Lucky Peterson, Larry McCray and Wendell Holmes.
