For every blues lover is the term "double trouble" in music naturally and clearly connected to the finest electric blues and bluesrock.
And this is exactly what listeners and fans expects with this special band project between the finnish slidemaster Erja Lyytinen and the austrian bluestube Meeny Cryle: modern, powerful, sensitively electric blues by two of the best european blues ladies.
"double trouble", originally the title of an Otis Rush song and also well known by the legendary bandname from Stevie Ray Vaughn, since then hac become the epitome of particularly well and innovative bluesmusic.
Both musicians, Meena Cryle and Erja Lyytinnen are part of a new and excitingly generation of young european artists, with deep roots in the traditional blues which they transform and create with a modern, unique form - filling the blues with new life.
With their fantastically knowledge and abilities of the blues both of them connect the elements of folk, rock, soul, pop in an interesting, new way and coin their very own style.
The live shows of Erja & Meena are powerful experiences between blues and soul, from R n B to Rock and electrified bluesrock.
For the "double trouble" project both artists will be accompanied by their special musical partners - Meena comes with the fantastic Chris Fillmore on guitar and Erja brings her trusted friend and outstanding guitarplayer Davide Floreno.
Both, Meena and Erja are well known to a large blues community since their participation at the famous RUF Blues Caravan and inspire an enthusiastic and growing audience for themselves with their music all over Europe.
The "double trouble" rhythm section is completed by such magnificent musicians as Roger Innis on the bass and Miri Mietinnen on the drums.
